Lay Eucharistic Visitors
Lay Eucharistic Visitors are licensed by the Bishop to take the Eucharist to parishioners who are hospitalized, homebound, or ill or recovering at home and unable to attend church. If you would like to have the Eucharist brought to you, please call or email Julie at the St. Mark's Center (843-379-1020 or email@example.com). Guidelines for Licensed Ministries can be found here.
Please contact Julie at the St. Mark's Center if you or someone you know would like a pastoral visit at home, in the hospital or elsewhere.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
There are currently ten St. Mark's members dedicated to the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Shawls and lap robes are knitted or crocheted in an environment of love and prayer and are given to people at the request or recommendation of any member of the St. Mark's community. Anyone suffering pain, illness, loss, or grief may be a recipient. Those wishing to join this ministry or wishing to request a shawl may contact Linda Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org or (843) 524-3557.
Presently we have eight people dedicated to praying for those on our prayer list. This is one ministry that can be done at home. People on the prayer list will also be prayed for at the Wednesday Healing Service. Prayer Team members pray confidentially in response to requests from parishioners and others for individuals, families, and friends who are ill, recovering, in treatment, or otherwise in personal or family crisis. If you wish to place someone on the prayer list or would like to join the Prayer Team, please email Debbie Dawsey Davis at email@example.com or call the St Mark’s Center during office hours. If no one answers, please leave a message on the recorder. We will keep names on the prayer list for one month, but do not hesitate to let us know if the need is for a longer time.
