We are St. Mark's Episcopal Church, an inclusive fellowship called by God, through Christ, to love and serve the world.
In a world in which our understanding of God's love is still unfolding, we at St. Mark's are a diverse, welcoming, Christ-centered community engaged in ministry always shaped by The Episcopal Church's example of love and service for all throughout the world.
A WORD TO NEWCOMERS AND VISITORS - St. Mark's enthusiastically welcomes newcomers and visitors! First-time visitors to worship services who identify themselves as such are presented with a "love bag" containing a loaf of homemade bread, a brochure about St. Mark's, and an information card to fill out should one wish to receive Red Lion Weekly, our weekly e-newsletter, as well as other communications from St. Mark's. It is not necessary to become a "member" of St. Mark's in order to participate in the life of our community; however, if you are an Episcopalian and would like to have your "letter" transferred, or you would like to inquire about confirmation or reception into the Episcopal Church, please contact the church office.
Please see our Parish News page for information on our upcoming pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
Summer Schedule - From Sunday, May 28 through Sunday, September 3 there will be one celebration of Holy Eucharist at 10:00 a.m. A nursery for infants and children through age 3 will be available at The Center. Our regular schedule of services at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. will resume on Sunday, September 10.

Children's Christian Education - A class is offered for children aged K-2nd grade during the 11 a.m. service. Children meet in the Center for lessons based on the "Holy Moly" program, a DVD Bible story and simple art project. They will then be escorted to church to join their parents during the Peace.
Nursery - A nursery for infants and children through age 3 will be available during both services. The nursery is located in St. Mark's Center, 1110 A Paris Ave., Port Royal,
St. Mark's provides service bulletins so that all can follow the readings and prayers taken from the Bible, The Book of Common Prayer, and other approved liturgies of The Episcopal Church.
Hymns during services are from both The Hymnal 1982 and its addendum Wonder Love and Praise. St. Mark's Ensemble, under the leadership of Music Director Diane Mullis-Waddell, offers the opportunity for anyone who likes to sing to join the group around the piano during the offertory.
Summer Schedule - Wednesday morning Coffee & Conversation and Holy Eucharist and Healing Service are suspended for the summer beginning Wednesday, June 7. However, there will be a casual, mid-week Holy Eucharist every Wednesday in June, July and August at 5:30 p.m. at The Center. This also provides a relaxed alternative for those absent from home on the weekends.
